Part of Maa Sati’s neck fell here. This place is located in Andhra Pradesh and is a very famous pilgrimage spot. The idol of Devi is in the form of Maha Lakshmi and Lord Shiva as Shambaranand Bhairav. Lord Shiva is also called as “Mallikharjuna Swamy” and Maa is known as “Brahmaraambika”. This is a very famous divine tourist spot and is one of the only 12 Jyotir Linga Shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva throughout India. Srisailam is located deep in the Nallamala forest and there is no train route. But, AP State Road Transport Corporation Super luxury buses are available directly from Hyderabad and Vijayawada. Bhramaramba Shaktipeeth is situated in the campus of Mallikarjuna Swami temple (Jyotirling). Srisailam is known as Siddhi kshetra. There is a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peetha at Srisailam.
